WHO IS JAN LAMBRECHTS
Jan Lambrechts is the CEO and founder CXS International, a workforce-analytics company focused on preparing workforces for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He has had a 19-year entrepreneurial career spanning five continents and was one of the early enablers of cloud (server-based) computing for enterprises in the late 90s for MNCs. Jan also co-founded a commercial cloud storage platform in mid 2000s.
In 1999 Jan architected the migration of data in the stores owned by the GIB group (Carrefour and Auto5) in Belgium to its online platform in anticipation of Y2K issues. Subsequently, his early career was spent in designing and development of cloud computing solutions for companies such as Lamifil, Huntsman and CISCO.
In early 2000, Jan founded one of the world's first commercially available cloud-storage platform. Though the first few years were filled with trial and errors, and learning slopes, Jan persevered and grew the company into one of the largest and most successful organisations. The downfall for this success happened in 2012 as an aftermath of the financial crisis. Strong headed Jan that strives on the motto of always being a fighter and not a victim, he picked himself up, albeit going through various hurdles, and explored all opportunities that came his way which includes the founding of a Chinese Learning App. One year following that, Jan was head hunted to establish the global arm of Conexus, Norway's largest and eldest learning analytics firm in education. Following the acquisition of Conexus to a third party, Jan founded CXS International and in less than 3 years, grew it to one of the world’s largest Lifelong Learning organisation with talent datasets from over 30 countries.
While setting up CXS in Asia, he also established himself as a mentor and guru for budding entrepreneurs. Doing work for Lithan Hall, a digital skills accelerator and Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), a government agency based in Singapore, and the Founder’s Institute in mentoring and advising startups. In October 2018, Jan Lambrechts was awarded and recognised as an Endeavor Entrepreneur, a global high-impact entrepreneur movement organisation. Throughout Jan’s success in Asia, he has been closely recognised by various Heads of governments (including Prime Ministers and Chief of States), and has met with key global leaders such as His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Jack Ma among others.
